Entered land in 1836 in Old Tishomingo County, MS. Was a loyal member of New Providence Primitive Baptist Church. In 1853 he established a ferry across Big Bear Creek on the Road from Frankfort, AL to Carrollville, MS. The ferry was named the Pittsburgh Ferry.

- Probably Elizabeth and Micajah were married in South Carolina, in the Spartanburg area, as Micajah and some of the McClurkin's had land dealings in the 1790's in that area. However, Rutherford County NC is a possibility, since they had land dealings there, also.
